ARBA Shipping Agency from Albania, winner of the BID International Quality Crown Award in London 2013
London played host to this year's BID International Quality Crown Convention, where professionals and business representatives from around the world gathered in recognition of achievements and recent successes. In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which ensures customer satisfaction and cost efficiency at every level of activity.
Among this year's winners, of ARBA Shipping Agency, from Albania, proudly accepted the International Quality Crown Award in the Platinum Category at the BID Quality Convention in London. The company has made huge strides this year as a leader not only for its sector, but also in Albania. The Award came as an ideal way to celebrate yet another successful year of operations well underway.
BID chose London, one of Europe's largest cities, as one of the top three most important cities in the world due to its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts. The London metropolitan area is immensely multicultural, home to nearly 14 million people who speak 300 different languages. This city proudly boasts the headquarters of 100 of the largest 500 companies in Europe, along with 43 world-class universities, making London the most visited city in the world and the perfect location for B.I.D. International Convention for Quality in London.
ARBA Shipping Agency won the International Quality Crown Award in the Platinum category in London in the presence of leaders and representatives from 49 countries at the International Quality Crown Convention. The prestigious award, representing the height of quality and innovation in a field, is presented by BIDgroup President and CEO, Jose E. Prieto. Agim Barjami stood before the international community gathered, sharing the company's achievements as well as its future ambitions and goals. Defiant in the face of current difficulties in the global economy, ARBA Shipping Agency strives to excel in quality each day, creating a competitive advantage in its industry. For this reason, ARBA Shipping Agency was named a winner of the 2013 BID International Quality Crown Award in London; a trophy which BID presents to those companies and organizations from around the world that best adhere to excellence and innovation in their practices, putting quality first at all levels of organization.
Leaders awarded through the BIDgroup community clearly demonstrate creativity and leadership in their respective sectors. This year, such winners included: BT Applied Technology, from Saudi Arabia. With a workforce of over 3,500 employees, BT Applied Technology specializes in the design and management of mega projects based on IP technology. To date, its largest project has been providing integrated services in the King Abdul-Aziz Endowment Project, where it has developed 80,000 service points over 1.5 million square meters.
Prodiaman Oil Services, from Angola. Angolan conglomerate operating predominantly in the oil and gas and mining industries. Prodiaman actively partners with foreign and private investors including the likes of Norwegian giant Aker Solutions and Clariant, a Swiss oils services company with a turnover of over $8 billion, to provide excellent services to customers of all sectors in which it operates.
Banco interacciones, from México. This bank is known throughout Mexico for the highest quality customer service in the country's financial industry. The group is unique in that its entire business model has been created around products and services that are tailored to client needs, creating mutually profitable long term relationships. The win-win model is highly popular, and has resulted in the group's subsidiary, Banco Interacciones, growing into the fourth largest publicly listed bank in Mexico.
Burgan Bank, from Kuwait. Aside from providing high quality banking services to a large cross section of the population, Burgan Bank is devoted to aiding Kuwaiti society as much as possible. This includes a large variety of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which help set the bank apart from its competition. In fact, in 2012 Burgan Bank was recognized by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour for its ongoing services assisting individuals with special needs, the elderly and orphans.
Aquakita, from Mexico. Founded in 1988, Aquakita has been bringing fun to communities the world over as a leading developer of water theme parks. To date, Aquakita has managed the design and construction of over 1000 parks in more than 50 countries, as well as taking part in 2000 projects as consultants on specific aspects of design, development, and ride manufacture and installation.
